According to the Bureau of Meteorology first time that happened before in December 1965, the temperatures over 33C in all four main cities. In Melbourne, temperatures jump above the forecast maximum of 34C then to 36.1C. In Sydney’s CBD, the temperatures 37.8C, in Adelaide the temperatures at 35.6C. To assist cope in time of hot weather, the Red Cross is asking people to keep an eye on their place.
